Business Development Manager
Job Description
Electric Vehicle Centre Africa is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth by developing and executing strategic plans that spearheads the growth and volume of the EV product line. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth in the EV sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the EV industry.
2. Business Strategy Development: Develop and implement business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the company's EV market share.
3. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including:
- EV manufacturers
- Charging infrastructure providers
- Government agencies
- Industry associations
- Potential customers (fleet operators, dealerships, etc.)
4. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, negotiate deals, and ensure revenue targets are met.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve EV-related products and services.
6. Monitor competitors' activities, market share, and strategies.
7. Stay up-to-date with EV-related policies, regulations, and incentives.
8. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular progress reports.
9. Solar projects and workshop experience
Qualifications and Experience
1. Electrical Engineering degree, Business Management or Marketing and related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the automotive or renewable energy sector.
3. Strong understanding of the EV industry, market trends, and regulatory landscape.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and closing deals.
