Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate: should be able to teach any four of Meteorology and Climatology, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Climate Change, Project Planning and Management, Statistical Methods in Geography; Supervise undergraduate student research projects; Engage in research and innovation activities within the field of Geography and Environmental Science; and perform academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor through the Departmental Chairperson.


Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess at least a Master of Science in Geography and Environmental Science, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree in a relevant area or those demonstrating significant progress towards attaining one. Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage. Successful candidates without a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be required to obtain the same within the first three years of appointment.
