IT Support and Development Specialist

Job Description
Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic IT Support and Development Specialist to join our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing help desk support, assisting in training, and supporting development tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide help desk support to end-users, resolving technical issues promptly including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Assist in developing and delivering IT training programs for staff: Enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the team, including creating training materials and conducting training sessions.
• Support development tasks, including software customization and integration.
• Develop and maintain internal tools and applications: Create and upkeep software tools for internal use, including web-based applications and databases.
• Support media and web requirements, including graphics and video editing: Assist with multimedia projects and web development needs, including updating the company website and creating marketing materials.
• Perform system updates and maintenance: Ensure that all software and systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
• Document technical procedures and solutions: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for technical processes and problem resolutions.
• Collaborate with other IT team members: Work closely with network administrators, system administrators, and other IT staff to ensure cohesive IT operations.


Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development and end-user computing: Knowledge in both software creation and user support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
1-2 years experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues: Quick and efficient problem resolution.
• Experience with training and supporting end-users: Capability to educate and support users in IT matters.
• Knowledge of media and web design tools is a plus: Additional skills in multimedia and web development are beneficial.
• Familiarity with database management systems: Experience with SQL, MySQL, or other database platforms.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects: Strong organizational and time-management skills.
